Pam Elliott, Registered Dental Hygienist
I have been a Dental Hygienist for 29 years and have focused on Independent Private Practice for the last 8 years! After realizing a personal dream I have moved my practice to a warm, friendly, and very comfortable Barrie south end location, just steps away from Bear Creek Secondary School.
Part of my reason for the move, is to allow me to continue to provide optimal dental hygiene care at a reasonable cost to all clients, especially those who do not have dental benefits! Come in and enjoy a fresh hot coffee in front of the fire place!
Welcome... have a seat and relax! I look forward to providing the best quality care, treatment options, and personal attention in a professional and private setting!

Q: Why do I perform a New Patient Examination/Assessment?
A: A “New Client Exam/Assessment”, also referred to as a "Comprehensive Oral Examination", allows me the necessary time to review your Medical and Dental history and how these relate to your current oral and overall health, assess the status of your oral health, help you to understand your role in your oral health care, and plan for your dental cleaning appointment(s). I am committed to working with you to find a homecare routine and dental cleaning schedule that works for you!
If you need to see a dentist, which is always recommended, I can provide you with a list of several dentists depending on your specific needs.
Most dental plans will cover a New Client Exam every 2 to 5 years, if you are unsure of your coverage, I would be happy to call your dental insurance company on your behalf. Some dental insurance companies will share this information, some will only share this information if you are present in the office at the time of the phone call.
Q: Why do I work as an Independent Dental Hygienist?
A: Long ago, dental care became unaffordable to a lot of people! More than 50% of the population do not have dental benefits!
Some people who do have dental benefits, or have benefits but have a co-payment which requires them to pay 10-50% of their dental cost. When you have a family of four or five, that 10-50% adds up very quickly!
In a Independent Dental Hygiene Office, especially with lower overhead, I can offer rates that are 20-30% less than fees typically billed at some dental offices!
